Gilt cast brass with applied die-struck tongue disc. Scroll on the tree displays crude state map with “MAP OF ALABAMA” marked on it. Alabama ordered a quantity of these styles from New York “importer and manufacturer of military goods” (B&M) shortly before the civil war.  You can have this buckle put on a belt by choosing one from our Belts page.
