Cast brass plate with a die-stamped brass tongue disc. Large, stylish “Star” buckle made in the south (possibly New Orleans) during the war. The smooth ringed wreath is one of the only true CS designs not copied from pre-war models. This plate was intended for officers from Mississippi and Texas.
If ordering a belt with this buckle, it is important to read the "Belt Ordering Policy".
