Displays the informal state coat of arms (not officially adopted until 1867) described in Ohio’s 1859 General Regs. Patterned after Army’s round eagle shoulder plate. Limited in quantity and worn by the low-numbered Ohio units at the beginning of the CW. They are based on excavated samples and period photos. Available in gold brass.
