Military belt holster for the Starr model 1858 revolver, a regulation contract pattern for the Civil War era. This holster was also issued in small quantities to post war frontier armies. Constructed of bridle leather with full flap top and strap and finial closure. Riveted and sewn belt loop and sewn toe plug. The closure strap is sewn in a semi circle and riveted both indications of late Civil War production.
